Ingredients: 100% pure Basmati rice Preparation of Basmati rice: Rinse the rice several times. Put in a pot and add salt. Add the right amount of water - ideally 2:3 rice:water, not twice as much water as rice - this will make the rice cook in water and not in steam! Bring almost to the boil - at this point seal the pot with aluminium foil and secure it under the edge of the pot so that the steam cannot escape over the sides. Cover with a lid. Reduce the heat to low and leave for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove completely from the stove and leave the rice to steam for another 5 minutes. Remove the foil, fluff the rice with a fork and serve. You can add a few drops of pure vinegar to the pot before cooking so that the rice grains remain truly separate.
