Albizia flowers are processed in food standards, but according to EU Regulation 2015/2283, albizia may not be used as a food or food supplement. We supply albizia only as a raw material for external use and further processing (e.g. in cosmetics).

Albizia julibrissin / He Huan Hua is a relatively new herb that the Western world has focused on. The herb comes from Asia, where it is widely used. It was first brought to Europe by the nobleman Filippo degli Albizzi, after whom it is named. It has a very beautiful pink-red flower, thanks to which it earned the nickname silky. The sweet-smelling inflorescence is very striking and remarkable. It is also called a dormant plant because its leaves and flowers close at night, during high temperatures, or on rainy days.
