Angelica officinalis (lat. Archangelica officinalis) and its form Chinese angelica have traditionally been in conflict of interest. While angelica was not given much importance in Europe, in China it has always been considered a basic herb.
Angelica is a biennial herb, the most used part of which in phytotherapeutic terms is the root. The herb has been used as a vegetable and part of folk medicine since the tenth century. Angelica is specific for its charismatic, unique aroma.
Angelica is used to support the body's natural defenses. It has an effect on digestion and normalizes intestinal functions. Angelica contributes to maintaining normal liver function and has an effect on its cleansing. We use it for problems with digestion and to support normal function of the digestive tract. Stabilizes the pH balance in the stomach, regulates appetite. Angelica also helps maintain respiratory health - normal respiratory function.
External use: It has proven to be very suitable as a relaxing bath preparation after heavy physical exertion, e.g. for athletes.
Traditional use:
Boil angelica root in hot water in a ratio of approximately 2 g (one teaspoon) and 250 ml of water. Boil for approximately 2 minutes and let stand for approximately 15 minutes. Use 3 times a day. Use up to two tablespoons of the root for a bath.
Warning: It does not serve as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Store in a safe place out of reach of children.
