Product detailed description

Color for achieving brown or black shades in combination with henna.

This product made from crushed leaves of the Indigofera tinctoria plant is added to henna to obtain a wide range of gentle colors with beneficial effects on the hair.

Henna is not included in the package.

Depending on the ratio of Henna and Indigo, you can achieve any color from red shades to light brown, dark brown to black. If you are interested in a more intense black color, you will get the best result by dyeing in two steps, first with pure Henna and then with pure indigo.
Indigo itself dyes in dark blue shades.

Application instructions:

A. One-step dyeing for:

1. Reddish-brown shade - henna: indigo ratio - 1: 1
2. Brown shade - henna: indigo ratio - 1: 2
3. Dark brown shade - henna: indigo ratio - 1: 3

In two cups, prepare the required amount of henna and indigo powder in the ratio according to the table above. For short hair, 50g of powder should be enough, for long hair about 100g.
For example: you have long hair and want a dark brown shade, that's a ratio of henna and indigo 1: 3, together it should be 100g of powder, so you will need 25g of henna and 75g of indigo.

First, prepare the henna by pouring 60°C water, create a paste with a consistency similar to yogurt and let it stand for a few hours to release the pigments. Then, prepare the paste with indigo by pouring water no warmer than 50°C and you can also add a pinch of salt, because the indigo pigment is released in an alkaline environment. Let it stand for 15 minutes. Mix with henna paste and apply.

A simpler option is to mix henna and indigo powder in the desired ratio and pour over with a maximum of 50 °C water. However, the result is not as good as when henna and indigo are mixed separately.

After application, wrap the hair in plastic wrap (shower cap), then in a towel and leave on the hair for at least 1-2 hours. The intensity of the coloring and beneficial effects of Henna increases with the duration of exposure. Then wash the hair and treat it as usual.

B. Two-phase dyeing for:

Intensive black shade:

1st phase
Pour the henna powder with water warmed to 60 ° C and mix thoroughly. You can add the juice of half a lemon to the mass to better release the dye. Apply the resulting slurry to the hair, which is then covered with plastic wrap and a towel. Leave the product to act for at least 60 minutes. The intensity of the dyeing and beneficial effects of henna increases with the duration of exposure. Wash the hair thoroughly and treat it in the usual way.

2. phase
We pour 50 ° C warm water over the indigo (higher temperatures will destroy the dye) and mix thoroughly. We can add a teaspoon of salt to the mass to better release the pigment and apply the resulting slurry to the hair. Then cover it with plastic wrap and a towel. Let it act for at least 60 minutes. The intensity of the coloring effects increases with the length of exposure. Then wash your hair and treat it as usual.

What color will indigo take on when dyeing in two phases?

Natural colors do not take on everyone the same way, but the legend below can be used to guide you:

! Warning: Before using henna and other natural dyes, it is not recommended to use shampoos, hardeners and sprays with silicones, which prevent the penetration of natural pigments into the hair structure.
We recommend a minimum interval of 4 weeks between chemical dyeing and the application of henna and indigo.
