Scrambled Egg Substitute
My scrambled egg substitute is a plant-based alternative for breakfast. The scrambled egg alternative was developed with chickpea flour and is organic, vegan and gluten-free. My scrambled egg substitute is simply mixed with water, then pan-fried and can be dressed up with vegetables, herbs and kala namak.
It also goes well with dishes like fried noodlesor rice, baked , spaetzle or hearty muffins.
Preparation:
- Preheat a non-stick frying pan to medium-high. Now mix the contents of the package with 125 ml of cold water with a whisk.
- Put a little fat in a hot pan and then pour the mixed powder into the pan in 3 blocks. After 3 minutes, turn the mass and heat for another 1 minute. Then break it up using two spatulas and heat for another 1 minute. Now add a small piece of margarine, throw everything into the pan - done.
- The prepared scrambled egg substitute tastes great on its own or on a slice of toasted bread.
