Bitter orange is also known as wild orange or Bitter orange. The phytotherapeutically useful part is the pericarp, which contains synephrine. It is a fruit known from traditional Chinese medicine, where it is called Zhi Shi.
Bitter orange contributes to maintaining nervous balance, has calming and relaxing effects. It is recommended for supporting sleep and lipid metabolism. It has an effect on weight management, and is helpful for maintaining normal digestive and respiratory health. Bitter orange decoction has an excellent taste and a pleasant aroma.

Traditional use:
Put two to three teaspoons of pericarp in 750 ml of cold water and bring to a boil. Boil over low heat for 3–5 minutes and let stand. Divide the decoction prepared in this way into three doses, which we drink during the day. Bitter orange pericarp is very suitable to add as a flavoring ingredient to herbal teas and their mixtures.
