Cranberry is a small creeping shrub growing up to one meter tall. It is native to North America, hence its most famous name "Canadian cranberry". It is valued and cultivated primarily for its tasty fruits, which are comparable in size to gooseberries, but the color is reddish, even red.
Salvia Paradise® Canadian cranberry is freeze-dried. Vacuum freezing or freeze-drying is the most gentle way to process fruit.Freeze-dried fruit retains up to 90% of the nutrients, vitamins, taste and aroma of fresh fruit. Canadian cranberry contains the so-called proanthocyanidins (PAC).
