This candied orange peel has a distinct fruity taste and does not contain any dyes or preservatives. It is made from oranges from controlled organic farming that have not been treated with chemical spraying. The fresh peel is cut into cubes, then briefly heated, poured with syrup and lemon juice and candied for several hours. The syrup gradually penetrates the peel, where it replaces water. Candiing fruit was previously used mainly for its storage, but in the era of year-round availability of fresh fruit, we appreciate the specific taste of candied fruit. We use candied orange peel in baking, in sweet yeast doughs, in chocolate sweets and to decorate sweets.
