Chamomile, also known as chamomile or chamomile, is an annual herb growing up to 50 cm tall. It is most often found in fields among grain or in cornfields. It is also confused with Roman chamomile or field chamomile, which can be recognized by the yellow domed center of the flowers and the characteristic intense aroma, which is caused by the content of essential oils.
The phytotherapeutic part is the flowers, which are collected from June to August. Chamomile contributes to maintaining normal respiratory health. It promotes relaxation, sleep, mental well-being and a positive mood. It has an effect on the natural defenses of the organism (immune system) and acts as an antioxidant. Chamomile is recommended for maintaining digestive comfort, has an effect on fat metabolism and helps to healthy skin.
Traditional use:
Pour one teaspoon of dried flowers with 200–250 ml of boiling water and let stand for 15 minutes under a lid. Then strain and drink the tea prepared in this way 3 times a day. We always prepare the infusion fresh, we do not stock it up for the whole day due to the volatile essential oils.
