Product detailed description

100% unroasted organic cocoa beans, real chocolate in its purest and healthiest form.

Whole organic unshelled cocoa beans come from Peru - the producer of the highest quality cocoa beans in the world. They stand out with a pleasant chocolate flavor with subtle fruity and smoky tones and a slight bitterness. They are aromatic and their taste is long-lasting. The shell of the unshelled bean is made up of a thin skin that needs to be peeled off before use.

Who can imagine a world without chocolate today? Few of us can. However, it is not that long ago that we could start taking chocolate for granted. In 1519, the Spanish conqueror Hernando Cortés discovered the secret of the drink of the Aztec ruler. The drink was dark, bitter, made from highly prized cocoa pods. At that time, 100 cocoa pods could buy one healthy slave. This suggests why the Aztecs kept the dark drink a secret from all of Europe. In the 16th century, an attempt was made to import 200 tons of cocoa pods from Mexico to Spain, but several ships were captured and the secret was revealed after 100 years.

During the 17th century, the rest of Europe became acquainted with cocoa. It was most praised by Holland, Switzerland, England, Belgium, ... Until the 19th century, chocolate was consumed as a drink, but with the addition of sugar or milk. But always as a liquid. It was only about 150 years ago that humanity discovered candies, chocolate bars - exactly as we know chocolate today.

Cocoa beans are the starting material for the production of chocolate. Most of us perceive chocolate as a necessary unhealthy snack - necessary because chocolate makes up up to 1% of food consumption in Western civilization, but the situation is completely different with cocoa beans. Cocoa beans are classified as SUPER FOOD and their properties are not negligible.

Do you feel good after eating chocolate? Chocolate is already diluted, try how pure cocoa - undiluted chocolate - affects you.

Someone once called the taste of raw, unroasted cocoa the mostchocolatey chocolate. This comparison is extremely apt. At the first taste, you will feel a strong, distinct chocolateiness, but without any traces of sweetness. This first encounter automatically encourages a person to taste it again. Chopped cocoa beans are soft to the bite, similar to hazelnuts. They do not harm teeth and to a lesser extent they are also suitable for children. One gradually gets used to cocoa beans during one fifty-gram package. Many people miss the enormous sweetness of chocolate, but after consuming a bag, after getting acquainted with all the taste forms of the beans, no chocolate will seem chocolatey enough...
