Product detailed description
Wax paper
8m
Petroleum-free and completely compostable.
Now there is an environmentally sound alternative for food packaging: Compostella Natural Wax Paper. It is a natural brown, unbleached cellulose paper that is coated on both sides with vegetable carnauba wax. Conventional wax paper is coated with petroleum-based wax such as paraffin, carnauba wax, on the other hand, is obtained from the leaves of the carnauba palm tree native to South America.
Compostella Natural Wax Paper is designed to keep fatty and moist foods fresh and tasty. Due to its completely natural composition, it is completely compostable and can even be disposed of in the garden compost. The decomposition time under normal compost conditions is about 14-28 days.
The applications of the paper are diverse. It is used in the refrigerator to store cheese, sausages, cakes and other fatty products. Even moist foods such as fresh fish, cooked ham, tofu, cooked asparagus and leftovers can be stored well. Moisture does not penetrate, the food can breathe and the refrigerator remains clean.
However, Compostella natural wax paper should not be used as an alternative to baking paper, as the wax melts in the oven and can soil the baking tray.
