These corn flakes are interesting because they are made only from corn. They contain corn fiber and are excellent for reducing salt and fat consumption. We use them like regular corn flakes: with milk, yogurt or soy drink. They have a faint, slightly corn-like taste and usually require seasoning of your choice - raisins, natural cane sugar, honey, maple syrup... Half a ripe banana can sweeten a bowl of corn flakes sufficiently!
TIP: By crushing them, we get gluten-free "breadcrumbs" for coating cutlets and thickening meatballs, etc. in gluten-free cuisine.
Healthy baked tortillas: Spread the flakes on a plate suitable for baking, mix with a little extra virgin olive oil, salt and sprinkle with grated cheese. Heat in the oven until the cheese melts. Serve with hot Arrabbiata sauce. An excellent substitute for oversalted, fatty tortillas!
