The rowan (Latin Sorbus aucuparia) is a plant that grows to a height of five meters. It is found in Europe, but also in northwest Asia. In the Czech Republic, it is found along country roads, highways and on the edges of forests. The rowan is considered an ornamental plant. It is also known by the popular name rowanberry. It blooms in spring with white flowers resembling elderberries. The orange to red fruits are harvested, which ripen at the turn of August and September. They are also very popular with birds, who help spread it.
The rowan is used in phytotherapy to support immunity, especially in periods of increased stress and strain. It is known that the fruits of the rowan refresh the body.

Traditional use:
Pour one to two tablespoons of the mixture into 750 ml of cold water and bring to the boil. Boil for 3 minutes over low heat and leave to stand under the lid for 10 minutes. Divide the decoction prepared in this way into three doses, which we drink during the day.
