The Happy mix Quinea pigs mixture contains 10% carob. Carob is a carbohydrate and as such provides a large amount of energy. An important component of carbohydrates is sucrose (sugar), which gives carob the typical sweet taste so popular among rodents. It also has a low fat content and its fiber contains a lot of lignin, which supports good digestion.

The mixture contains cereals in the form of corn flakes, puffed corn, puffed wheat. Modified in this way, thanks to the gelatinization of starch and other nutrients, they become highly digestible with better biological absorption.
