Ferrets are small carnivores related to martens. They are true carnivores and need an easily digestible source of protein due to their short digestive tract.
Ferrets are not able to digest starch easily. Therefore, in Deli nature 5*menu Ferrets food, starch is gelatinized by extrusion, which facilitates its digestibility, and can serve as a source of energy for ferrets.
Ferrets need a high-fat diet, they have a short digestive tract and therefore cannot eat a large amount of food at once, so they need to obtain the most concentrated energy possible, mainly from fat. Animal fat is easily digestible and an excellent source of energy. In addition, due to its taste, it is attractive to ferrets, which is why it forms an important part of the Deli nature 5*menu Ferrets feed.
The feed is enriched with fish oil, which is a natural source of omega 3 and omega 6 (its effects are best seen on healthy skin and shiny fur).
