Dried apricots, unsulphured, 150 g BIO BIO NEBIO

Apricots originally come from the Orient and were introduced to the Mediterranean region two millennia ago. Our apricots were grown in Malatya in eastern Anatolia. This Turkish apricot center lies about 1,000 meters above sea level and, thanks to the cool and dry climate of the plateau, produces exceptionally juicy and high-quality fruit. These apricots are grown according to the principles of organic farming. The harvest begins in early July, when ripe apricots are shaken and picked. After being picked, they are left to lie on strips of cloth (or the roof of the farmer's house) for three days and then pitted. By drying the fruits whole, they retain more juiciness. The apricots are then dried in the sun and air for another three to four days. They are washed and sorted before export. The fruits are not sulfurized, which means they have not been preserved with sulfur dioxide or sulfites. The bag contains large apricots, which are best used as a healthy snack and in table mixes of dried fruits and nuts. They can also be used chopped to enrich yogurt, in baking and cooking as a sugar substitute. Like other dried fruits, apricots are a concentrated source of energy, sugar and nutrients. Among other things, they contain fiber and significant amounts of iron, calcium, potassium and some vitamins.
