After harvest, ripe sour cherries are collected and gently dried without the use of preservatives. The cherries are prevented from sticking together by sprinkling the berries with a little organic sunflower oil. The oil concentration must not exceed 0.5%. They have a typical, strong taste and are great in table mixtures of nuts and dried fruits. Dried sour cherries can not only be enjoyed on their own, but also used to flavor desserts, bowls, puddings, porridges or yogurts. It is also suitable for sauces with game.
