That is why the Ontario brand, in cooperation with veterinarians and nutritional specialists, has developed a unique and exceptionally tasty formula that provides a balanced composition for dogs suffering from overweight and the correct ratio of all nutrients. A quality diet is one of the most important conditions for a healthy and long life for your dog.  A recipe based on a high proportion of quality proteins from turkey meat and potatoes, which are the best source of carbohydrates after heat treatment. The food has a reduced fat content and energy value for weight reduction. It is also suitable for maintaining the current weight. With a low content of cereals, without wheat or corn. The only cereal is rice. Balanced composition for healthy functioning of the whole organism. The food contains a special mix of herbs and spices, especially anise, cloves and seaweed, to maintain proper oral hygiene and healthy teeth.

Special recipe

is based on meat being in the first place, and thus serves as a quality source of animal proteins, which are indispensable and irreplaceable for the dog. Thanks to them, the musculoskeletal system develops properly - i.e. the development and formation of muscles, tissue building, restoration and regeneration of the organism. The protein source is turkey meat, which has a high level of complete proteins, is highly digestible and is considered a dietary ingredient with the lowest fat content of all types of meat. It contains many minerals, such as iron and zinc. The feed uses protein sources intended for human consumption with a guarantee of their origin. The source of carbohydrates in the feed is extruded potatoes. In the raw state, potatoes are indigestible for dogs, but this changes during heat treatment, so-called extrusion, when the potato starch is split into a digestible and indigestible part. The digestible part functions as a source of energy for the dog and the indigestible part acts as fiber. The fiber obtained from potatoes is extremely fine and therefore allows complete cleansing of the intestine, including the folds (so-called villi). Thanks to this function, it supports the proper functioning of the intestines and also serves as nutrition for positive intestinal microflora.

Another source of carbohydrates

is rice, which is very easily digestible and significantly helps in the treatment of digestive problems. It is also suitable for sensitive dogs with allergies to cereals. The food does not contain any wheat, corn, soy or other types of cereals. We call it LOW-GRAIN - with a low content of cereals, where the only cereal is rice. The food contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals supporting healthy growth and development. For example, Vitamin A for healthy vision, Vitamin D3 important for building bones and for the proper functioning of the immune system, Vitamin E as an antioxidant and support for the heart and blood vessels, Vitamin B12 for the proper functioning of metabolism and many others. Last but not least, what makes the food unique is a special mix of herbs and spices. Up to 70% of immunity is formed in the digestive tract, which is essential for fighting diseases (it neutralizes pathological phenomena, tumors, skin problems, etc.), which is why we added herbs and spices such as yucca, fennel, anise, rosemary, thyme, cloves and cinnamon to the food, which have a beneficial effect and strengthen the immune system, care for healthy teeth and gums, support healthy digestion, reduce flatulence and many other beneficial effects. They are multi-spectral and an individual herb helps in many ways in the body.

Fennel – is a medicinal herb that is good against flatulence, supports digestion and also stimulates appetite.

Yuca – the main benefit is that it binds ammonia and reduces odor. But not only that, it works in the body as a natural cleanser. It removes pathological (unhealthy) deposits. It improves physiological (natural) processes and thus has a positive effect on the digestive system. It can increase the rate of metabolism and thus improve the natural detoxification of the body, thereby improving health. In modern medicine, it is used for chronic intestinal diseases. 

Rosemary - acts as a natural antioxidant, is characterized by disinfectant and antiseptic effects. It can circulate blood through the body by slightly increasing blood pressure - improving the circulatory activity of the circulatory system, muscles, joints and even the brain. It supports liver function, increases bile production and thus helps with various problems with the digestive system.

Cinnamon - is a so-called natural antibiotic and acts against a variety of viruses, bacteria and fungi. It has disinfectant and antiseptic effects. It increases the body's defenses. It also reduces cholesterol levels. It is also a natural antioxidant and protects the body from free radicals. It helps prevent inflammation and infections.

Thyme – helps with flatulence, inflammation of the digestive tract and against diarrhea. Reduces the risk of infection, effective against bacteria and parasites. One of the plants with the highest antiseptic effect.

Clove – also has a strong antiseptic, analgesic, anesthetic and antibacterial effect. It stimulates heart activity, against intestinal inflammation, nausea.

Anise – supports digestion, increases appetite, soothes the digestive tract, against flatulence, is used for diarrhea.

New recipes

Ontario food has undergone a completely revolutionary process, during which the recipes of granules and wet dog food have changed. It is now enriched with hypoallergenic types of food and a mix of spices and herbs that support the health of the whole organism.

Feeding instructions: Feed dry or slightly moistened food. Always ensure that your dog has enough fresh, drinking water. Daily nutritional requirements may vary depending on the environment, size, age and activity of the dog.  Recommended daily dosage – see Feeding table. For proper condition, provide the animal with enough exercise and do not overfeed it.
