Albacore tuna in organic olive oil

Albacore tuna is sustainably caught using hooks and longlines. It tastes best as a salad topping. The olive oil comes from controlled organic farming.

Albacore tuna has been caught in Fiji since the early 1980s. Today, it accounts for 65% of Fiji's national tuna catch, making it of great economic importance to the island nation. Thunnus alalunga populations are healthy and not overfished. This means that tuna abundance, especially in the western and eastern Pacific, has remained constant over the years. And to keep it that way, the annual amount of fish caught is below the value necessary for sustainable conservation.
