Product detailed description
The wild or forest broom is a sturdy biennial plant growing up to 2 m tall. It is found along roads, in pastures, wastelands, ditches, demolition sites or on the edges of forests and bushes. In addition to the northern part, it is found throughout Europe, but also in the Ciscaucasia, Asia Minor and Iran.
The usable part is the root, which is collected in autumn. The inflorescence is purple, sometimes even white, conical, prickly and up to 4 inches high. The flower itself is protected by spiny bracts, which form a cage around it. It flowers from July to September, and the faded inflorescences are very popularly used in flower arrangements and wreaths as decoration.
The provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, on nutrition and health claims, do not allow us to inform you about the effects of this plant on your body. Please find information about the effects in freely available sources or in a herbarium.
