Georgian tea comes from the area around the city of Tkibuli, which is located in the north of the Georgian region of Imereti, near the border with the Racha region. It is a single-type tea harvested in mountainous areas. The tea will enchant you with its slightly astringent and sweet taste with a typical aroma. The infusion is reddish-brown in color. It is a BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) grade broken tea.
Black teas generally have a strong taste and a distinctive aroma. They are fermented teas. The fermentation process colors the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant and awakens their typical taste and aroma, while also extending their shelf life. In East Asia, black tea is also called red tea.
The Chinese tea tree acts as an antioxidant and supports physical and mental activity. Drinking tea is suitable for maintaining healthy teeth, supports bone and skin condition. It is recommended for weight control, is able to normalize blood glucose levels and fat metabolism. Supports normal heart health.
Recommended preparation:
Put one tablespoon (approx. 8 g) of tea in a teapot and pour 500 ml of hot water at a temperature of 90–95 °C. Steep for 2–4 minutes. This tea is a single infusion, suitable as a morning tea for a good breakfast or afternoon tea.
