If we want to use them without cooking, we can soak them in advance so that they absorb the liquid better and soften. Oatmeal: Pour a cup of flakes with 1.8 cups of milk or herbal drink, add a pinch of salt and cook for 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Season to taste on the plate.
