What does it even mean - an ethical dietary supplement? It means that Viridian brand supplements are made entirely from natural ingredients and you will find absolutely no chemical additives in them. It also comes from organic farming and is not tested on animals. Also important is that the Viridian brand is privately owned, family-owned, and not part of any pharmaceutical or other corporation. This may sound obvious. But the truth is that many commonly available cheap products contain largely ineffective fillers (natural at best, chemical at worst) and only a small percentage of active ingredients. Do they have vitamins and minerals in any form? And why shouldn't they all be equally usable for the body? It is so. We can show this on iron, one of the most necessary minerals. In ordinary supplements, it is found, for example, in the form of ferrous gluconate. This form is synthetically produced and the reason why it is used in ordinary supplements is again the low price. For example, in its Liquid Iron supplement, Viridian uses a direct extract from the leaves of the Murraya koenigii plant, which provides iron in a 100% natural form.

Genetically modified crops are unnatural and their effects on health and the ecosystem can be catastrophic. They are created primarily to increase yield and are a product of the multinational agrochemical industry, which only seeks its own profit, not your health. You will never find any GMO ingredients in Viridian products.

No irradiated components

Food is irradiated with ionizing radiation (alpha, beta, gamma, X-rays,...) - i.e. radioactive radiation for the purpose of disposal supposedly undesirable microorganisms. These are largely eliminated, but many micronutrients that the food naturally contains are also destroyed.

Magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide and shellac free

Titanium oxide, or titanium white, is used as a coloring agent. You can find it in many pharmaceutical products, common dietary supplements, industrially processed foods, on tennis courts, where white lines form around the court, or on the Saturn V rocket, where it was used as an exterior coating. Magnesium stearate is used as a lubricant - it prevents capsules from seizing on the production line. In combination with water and soap, they form an insoluble substance, from which, for example, the typical non-removable rings on bathtubs are formed. Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lacquer worm, an insect native to India. Sheets of this resin are dissolved in ethyl alcohol to form a liquid shellac that is used as varnish and glaze. These substances are commonly used in dietary supplements, medicines and foods. You won't find them in Viridian supplements.

Ecological bottles

Viridian uses glass bottles made of so-called amber glass, which protect the contents from light and heat. At the same time, they can be recycled or reused. They can also be returned at our stores in exchange for a discount on your next purchase. The cap on the bottles is made of recyclable aluminum and the seal on the cap is made of cornstarch - Viridian does not use any plastics.
