Sweet Hungarian paprika is one of the most popular ground paprikas in our country and in world cuisine. It has excellent coloring and a very pleasant aroma, characteristic of sweet paprika. The taste is subtly sweet and very delicate.

The ASTA 180 label indicates the quality, which is rated on the ASTA scale (colorimetric index) using the numbers 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180. The coloring ability and, of course, the taste are rated. Paprika marked with a lower index (e.g. 40) is of poor quality, faded - it will not color the dish or add flavor to it.

Salvia Paradise® brings you sweet Hungarian paprika marked ASTA 180, which is the highest quality paprika on the market. Interestingly, the ability to color and impart flavor is observable in its entirety, especially in fats. Dissolving it in water will not achieve the desired effect.

Use:
Hungarian paprika is suitable for coloring and flavoring dishes such as sauces (especially goulash), sausages, spreads and salads. We recommend trying it on roasts, baked potatoes or vegetables.

TIP: Fry the onion in hot oil or lard and add ground paprika - this is the basis of many Hungarian dishes. However, be careful not to overcook the paprika, which would give it an unpleasantly bitter taste and ruin the entire prepared dish. When adding ground paprika, we recommend removing the dish from the heat source or reducing the heat source to the lowest possible level. Return to the heat source only after adding liquid.

Storage: Keep dry and close carefully.
