Product detailed description
Jasmine is a very lively, fast-growing, winding and deciduous vine or shrub, with sharp pointed leaves and star-shaped clusters of white or pink flowers. The flowers are very aromatic, the fresh scent is most enjoyed in spring or early summer, when the buds develop into beautiful flowers.
Dried jasmine is a classic part of tea and herbal mixtures. Its true essence stands out especially in combination with green tea. Jasmine aroma is often used in aromatherapy, baths or in the production of perfumes.
It is said that the jasmine scent caresses the soul and mind.
The flowers release their fragrant essential oils after dusk, which is why the flowers are collected at night before dawn. This is probably where the Indian name for jasmine comes from – “queen of the night”. A very expensive oil is obtained from the collected jasmine flowers.
External use: Jasmine is also often used in dermatology. It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects. A decoction of the flowers is therefore used to wash affected skin.
