Product detailed description
Karkade is a type of large-flowered hibiscus, from which only the flowers are used. The same name goes to the Egyptian national tea, which is characterized by a strong typical aroma and a sour refreshing taste. In Arabia, it is usually sweetened with sugar. Dried karkade flowers prepared in a tincture are an excellent drink for refreshing and quenching thirst. The finished karkade looks like a cup full of blood - thanks to its deep red color. Interestingly, if the finished karkade is poured into cold water, it turns blue.
Using karkade, we achieve total body refreshment. It plays a role in dehydration of the body. Water retention in the body today is caused by various aspects, such as the intake of many salts from food. Therefore, supporting kidney excretion is important. Preparation: Pour one tablespoon of dried karkade flowers with 500 ml of hot water and let it steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on the desired taste. The infusion can be drunk cold or warm, and can be sweetened with honey or sugar.
