The Kiltix collar contains two active substances (propoxur and flumethrin), which, by interacting with each other, guarantee an excellent and long-lasting effect against fleas and ticks. In addition, flumethrin causes infertility in female ticks, thus reducing tick infestation in the environment. Since it takes approximately 24 hours for the active ingredients to disperse throughout the dog's body, it is very important to leave the collar on the dog at all times - even when bathing! Kiltix is suitable for all breeds of dogs: small, medium, large, long-haired and short-haired. The collar does not change the color or quality of the coat. This is proven, for example, by a field trial with 149 dogs of different breeds, sizes and coat lengths. The trial lasted three years and the collar's excellent effect against tick infestation was observed throughout. The collar was effective throughout the tick season (up to 7 months). In some cases, even a collar worn for 11 months prevented tick infestation. Some dogs were occasionally attacked by ticks, but the ticks died while still in the animal's fur - meaning they did not attach at all. At the same time, the collar was effective against fleas throughout the entire period. Kiltix is very well tolerated. The active ingredients remain only in the dog's fur, they are not absorbed into the blood, and therefore there is no risk of kidney or liver damage. Kiltix can be used in puppies from 3 months of age. The excellent effect of Kiltix has also been verified in the countries of southern Europe, India, and western and southern Africa. Important note: Since the collar has pores through which the active ingredient gradually comes out, care must be taken to ensure that the pores do not become clogged with grease from the fur. If you think that the collar is greasy, less effective or simply does not look lightly floured, simply degrease it in soapy water. After drying, the collar will be fully functional again.
