Milk thistle is an annual or biennial herb growing up to 1.5 m tall. It is classified as asteraceae (family Asteraceae), which also includes sunflowers. It originates from the dry regions of the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia. It resembles a thistle in appearance, which is probably where the outdated name milk thistle comes from. It blooms in late June and its purple-red flowers resemble a thistle. The fruits are collected for phytotherapeutic purposes.

Milk thistle regenerates the liver parenchyma, has an effect on blood sugar levels. It belongs to the group of antioxidants, supports the body's natural defenses and resistance. It contributes to maintaining normal heart, liver and digestive system health.

Its use is recommended during cleansing treatments.

Instructions for preparation and dosage:
Pour one infusion bag with 250 ml of water at a temperature of 80 °C and leave to infuse for 15 minutes under a lid. We use 2–3 times a day.
