Milky oolong is an exceptional milk tea from the Chinese province of Fujian. The leaves are steeped in milk steam, steeped several times in milk essence and then rolled. This gives the tea an unmistakable, mild milky taste. The aroma is unforgettable, intense, creamy and slightly sweet. The infusion is yellow-green in color.
Oolong tea is a semi-fermented tea that has undergone partial oxidation. It can be said that it is a tea that has remained halfway between black and green tea. The advantage of oolong teas is the fact that they have retained the best of both types of tea. Oolong teas are characterized by their sweetness and complexity of the flavor structure.
The Chinese tea plant acts as an antioxidant and supports physical and mental activity. Drinking tea is suitable for maintaining healthy teeth, supports bone and skin condition. It is recommended for weight control, it is able to normalize blood glucose levels and fat metabolism. It supports normal heart health.
Recommended preparation:
Put one tablespoon (approx. 6–7 g) of tea in a teapot and pour 500 ml of water at a temperature of 85 °C. Let it steep for 2–3 minutes. With each subsequent infusion, extend the steeping time by approx. 1–2 minutes. This way, 5–6 quality infusions can be prepared.
