Product detailed description
Muira puama is a Brazilian herb often referred to as "MUIRAPUAMA".
Muira puama is a shrubby tree growing up to 5 m tall. The plant comes
from the Amazon rainforests of South America. In phytotherapy, the useful part is the wood of the plant, which is very hard, with a light brownish color in the middle. It emits a faint pungent odor. The indigenous people of South America use all parts of the plant, but we most often encounter the root and wood.
Muira puama acts as an antioxidant, is an excellent tonic for the whole organism. It contributes to supporting physical abilities, suppresses the accompanying symptoms of menopause, and has an effect on hormonal balance.
Provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006, on nutritional and health claims, does not allow us to inform you about the effects of this plant on your body. Please find information about the effects in freely available sources or in a herbarium.
Traditional use:
Pour one teaspoon of dried wood with hot water and boil for 10 minutes. You can top up the water. We use it 2 times a day. Traditionally, the liqueur is prepared by infusing 30 g of the root into 0.5 l of 40% alcohol for 10–20 days.
Warning: It does not replace a varied diet. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
