N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a precursor of the amino acid L- cysteine and substances called glutathione (GSH). It is a very important (perhaps the most important) antioxidant, which itself acts against oxidative stress in the body and at the same time strengthens the activity of other antioxidants. N-acetyl-L-cysteine naturally strengthens its formation in the body. Vitamin C and the trace elements selenium and molybdenum are substances that are also involved in the production of glutathione as cofactors, their combination in the NAC supplement thus creates an effective synergistic mixture. NAC also has anti-addiction, liver and sugar related properties.
