Organically grown tomatoes come from Italy and are filled into tubes in Switzerland. Fresh tomatoes are processed into juice within 24 hours of harvest. This is twice concentrated by partial evaporation to a dry matter content of 28-30%. The twice concentrated tomato paste is then heated to 80 ° C and filled hot into prepared containers. Tomato paste is ideal for Mediterranean dishes or as a base for delicate tomato sauces.
