Inula helenium (lat. Inula helenium) is a powerful perennial plant growing up to 1.5 m tall. It belongs to the asteraceae family. It originates from Central Asia, from where it quickly spread. The root of the herb is used for phytotherapeutic purposes, which is collected in September and October. The rhizome of the helenium is brown, large, branched, white on the cut, rough, cylindrical, about 3 cm in diameter, with a bitter taste and a camphor aroma.
Helenium root regulates appetite, contributes to normal digestion. The use of helenium is recommended to support the excretion of water from the body. It has a beneficial effect on the activity of the pharynx and respiratory tract.

Traditional use:
Pour half a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds with 200 ml of boiling water and leave to infuse for about 15 minutes. Drink the infusion prepared in this way always fresh 1–2 times a day, but a maximum of 4 cups per day for an adult.
