Epimedium sagittatum, lat. Epimedium sagittatum, is a perennial herb growing up to 50 cm tall. It is also known as the herb of the promiscuous goat. It is an evergreen, delicate plant originating from China and Japan. Epimedium sagittatum is characterized by elongated heart-shaped leaves and very small white and yellow inflorescences. Its traditional name, "herb of the promiscuous goat", is associated with a legend about goat herders who noticed that goats grazing on tufts of Epimedium were unusually sexually active.
