The most chocolaty chocolate – just cocoa mass, cocoa butter and a little orange essential oil in Demeter and organic quality. Thanks to the addition of cocoa butter, it melts on the tongue, despite the 100% cocoa content. The finest cocoa from the Duarte province in the northeast of the Dominican Republic is used to make this chocolate. The best organic cocoa in Demeter quality is grown here on three cocoa farms. The cocoa beans are processed on the bean to bar principle – which means that all processing steps from cocoa roasting to chocolate production take place under the strict supervision of the manufacturer under one roof.
WHAT IS DEMETER? Biodynamic farming complies with all the requirements of organic farming, and products bearing the Demeter certificate are also organically certified. However, biodynamic farming is stricter in some respects and farmers must follow a number of additional procedures compared to organic farming. The priority is to naturally increase soil fertility, for example by using natural products and crop rotation. The farm is seen as a whole, where each activity influences other activities. A biodynamic farmer perceives nature and operates in harmony with the environment and not against it. Biodynamically grown products carry the protected Demeter label and are certified and controlled in the same way as organic products.
Why doesn't the product have the word chocolate in its name? By law, only a product containing some sweetener may be called chocolate.
