Unlike conventional cranberries, this cranberry, or popularly known as Canadian cranberries, is not sulfurized and is sweetened only with pure apple juice. It has a pleasant, sweet and slightly sour taste. Canadian cranberries have been used in cooking for centuries. We add them to porridges, muesli mixtures, yogurts and sweet pastries (stoles, Christmas cakes...). They can be eaten alone or in table mixtures of dried fruit and nuts. They go great with game and poultry, when we add them either to the sauce or sprinkle the meat on a plate.
