This oat drink (or oat milk) is made from whole organic, gluten-free oats and is free of flavorings, cholesterol, milk proteins and lactose, and contains only 1.4% fat. It also does not contain any added sugar or other sweetener. Even so, it has a very pleasant sweet taste, which is given to it by naturally fermented oats, when the oat starches present are enzymatically broken down into simple sugars. The same process that causes the sweetness of fermented amazake rice is responsible for the sweetness of oat milk. Oat milk retains the slightly bitter taste of oats, which is more pronounced when served at room temperature. Therefore, we serve it slightly chilled. It is also suitable for preparing flavored drinks (vanilla milk, milk-fruit cocktails, etc.), but when combined with cocoa, the bitter taste of cocoa and oats stands out, which is why we do not recommend it. We also use oat milk for muesli and breakfast cereals, for preparing sweet desserts and for baking and cooking. Due to its sweet taste, it is usually not suitable for salty dishes.

What is the difference between soy milk and soy drink? None, the difference is only in the name. Even though everyone knows what soy milk is and that it has only similar uses to real milk from cows, goats or sheep, EU legislators prohibit manufacturers from using the word "milk" on product packaging for anything other than animal milk. The reason is the fear that it would deceive customers. This procedure is certainly commendable, for example, when it comes to banning the use of the word butter to describe margarine, or the prohibition of labeling fat toppings as chocolate (simply in those cases where the manufacturer really wants to deceive the customer), but in the case of soy milk it only leads to confusion. No soy milk manufacturer aims to have consumers confuse their product with cow's milk, but on the contrary, everyone emphasizes that it is not cow's milk. Be careful, in online discussions there are sometimes opinions that soy drink is of lower quality than soy milk. This is just a myth, the same drink is called soy milk in Asia and soy drink in the EU. The above also applies to all other plant milks (oat milk, rice milk).
