This plant-based drink is made from whole oats and almonds. Oat-almond drink is free of flavourings, cholesterol, milk proteins and lactose and contains only 1.0% fat. It also contains no added sugar or other sweeteners. The same process that produces the sweetness of fermented rice amazake is responsible for the subtle sweetness of oat milk. The oat starches present are enzymatically broken down into simple sugars during fermentation. Almonds add a subtle variety to the oat drink, which complement it with their typical flavour and also enhance its aroma.
