This delicate peanut butter has a very pleasant buttery caramel taste and aroma and is excellent for pastries, desserts, for gluing together sweets and biscuits, for baking and for direct snacking. It contains 41% gently roasted peanuts, is sweetened with natural cane sugar and scented with real Bourbon vanilla. Fair trade palm oil comes from Ghana, where palm trees are planted with respect for the environment as part of the project and there is no deforestation to obtain new plantations.
What is Bourbon vanilla? Bourbon vanilla is the name of the vanilla that was originally grown only on the former Bourbon Island (now Reunion) and has now been grown on other islands in the Indian Ocean - Madagascar and the Comoros. This vanilla naturally contains a higher percentage of vanillin, the main aromatic substance that gives vanilla its aroma.
