Product detailed description
Peppermint is an herb that can grow up to one meter tall, known for its strong aromatic scent.
In addition to the taste experience after consuming a quality infusion, it is used primarily for its beneficial effect on the digestive tract. The old custom of giving a sprig of mint after a meal for better digestion is therefore not without meaning. In all herbariums, we can find mentions of mint as a remedy associated with digestion. Whether it is supporting digestion, secretion of bile in the liver and overall intestinal and digestive health.
We have mentions of its use for these purposes from ancient Egypt, Israel, Greece and Rome. It is described as an antioxidant, contributing to cleansing the body. Mint supports liver and gallbladder health. Peppermint has an effect on mental well-being, is used for relaxation, and harmonizes sleep. Other properties of peppermint include the ability to support natural defenses, and has an effect on immune health. The traditional use of mint also consists of maintaining respiratory health and supporting normal heart health. It is known that mint contributes to maintaining the health of the urinary tract and kidneys.
Traditional use: Pour one to two teaspoons of dried peppermint over 250 ml of hot water and steep for 5–10 minutes. We use it 2–3 times a day.
