Phu-er, or loose Pu-erh, is a classic class of real tea. It has a special, strongly earthy taste, which is accompanied by a slight bitterness and astringency. The infusion is dark to black in color, reminiscent of black coffee.
Phu-er teas generally have a strong, distinctive taste and aroma. They come from the Yunnan province and are part of traditional Chinese medicine. These are teas that are additionally fermented. Thanks to the complex and lengthy processing method, pu-erh has created a unique group. It is said that you have to gradually get used to the taste of pu-erh. After the first cup, you will fall in love with it, or over time, you will get used to it. The older the pu-erh is, the better quality drink you will make from it. It is a tea that needs to age.
Chinese tea tree acts as an antioxidant and supports physical and mental activity. Drinking tea is suitable for maintaining healthy teeth, supports the condition of bones and skin. It is recommended for weight control, and is able to normalize blood glucose levels and fat metabolism. Supports normal heart health.
Recommended preparation:
Put one tablespoon of loose pu-erh (approx. 6–8 g) in a teapot and pour 500 ml of hot water just below the boiling point. Steep for 2–4 minutes. The more tea we put in and the longer the steeping takes, the more flavor the tea will release. To achieve a more intense flavor, it is better to add tea rather than extend the steeping time. This tea is a single infusion.
