This 100% almond paste is made from almonds with skin, which are gently roasted at 140 - 150 °C and finely ground. The resulting paste is bottled in jars under vacuum. It naturally contains high-quality unsaturated oils, vitamins and minerals. Since no additives, such as hydrogenated fats or emulsifiers, are used, almond oil may separate. This phenomenon is not a defect in quality and the paste can be simply stirred before use. Almond paste is excellent for pastries (can be combined with honey, maple syrup, raisins...), for softening desserts, for baking (in cakes, cakes or biscuits), for yoghurt, milkshakes and muesli, for flavouring vegetable dishes and as a base for salad dressings. The so-called almond butter is suitable for pastries, e.g. with jam. It adds flavor to porridges, yogurts, muesli, creams and desserts. Mix with cocoa, vanilla, a little oil and honey or maple or agave syrup to get a great healthy spread.
