Marjoram originally comes from the Mediterranean region and the ancient Greeks considered it a symbol of good luck. Marjoram is very popular and often used in Czech cuisine. It is great for vegetable meatballs, potato pancakes and dumplings, where it is usually combined with garlic. It is also used, for example, in vegetable, mushroom, potato and cream soups. Our great-grandmothers added it to legume dishes and had good reasons for doing so. However, we have to hide them from you so as not to confuse you with scientifically unconfirmed delusions :-). Grilled or baked potato slices with marjoram, garlic and salt, coated with olive oil, are great.
