Sea buckthorn is a dioecious shrub growing up to 6 m tall. It was known in ancient times and traditionally used in phytotherapy in Russia, Siberia and some parts of China. The fruits are harvested from August to October. The fruit is oblong orange balls around thorny branches.
The high content of active substances makes sea buckthorn support the immune system, contributes to the body's natural defenses. Sea buckthorn is suitable for all busy people (e.g. athletes, children, elderly people), even for long-term use. The effect of sea buckthorn on the digestive system is described quite accurately. It contributes to maintaining normal functions of the cardiovascular system. In phytotherapy, it is also used as a means beneficial for normal skin health.
Traditional use:
Pour one teaspoon with 250 ml of water and let it steep for 10 minutes. You can sweeten it with honey. Dried fruits can also be used as an ingredient in other teas and thus enrich them. Dried fruits can also be eaten alone, unprocessed.
