“Yondu is an all-natural, zero-calorie liquid seasoning” made by Korean soy sauce company Sempio. With over 60 years of experience fermenting soybeans into soy sauce, they’ve used their expertise to create a flavor-enhancing product that’s completely free of added MSG. Yondu seasoning is used to enhance the umami flavor of food. Instead of adding salt to taste, you can add this. Anytime a spicy dish seems a little bland, you can use a little Yondu. The fermented soy ingredient adds umami to marinades or salad dressings. It’s also short for vegetable stock (Sempio recommends 1 teaspoon for every 2 cups). Try adding a teaspoon to pasta sauce.
