Product detailed description
Pasuchaca is a small, perennial plant found in the Peruvian Andes at altitudes of around 3,000 m above sea level. It is an endemic species found nowhere else in the world. Its average height is about 35 cm. Pasuchaca can live for several years. It is not only cultivated for its root, but also for its beautiful leaves and flowers.
The plant is characterized by its dark green leaves and striking flowers, which vary in color from pink to red-orange. The entire plant, including the root, can be used for phytotherapy.
The herb is collected just before the flowers open, at which time the active substances reach their highest concentration.
Since pasuchaca is not a well-known plant in Europe and its use is not widespread, no company has submitted a proposal for the recognition of any of the health claims for which pasuchaca is traditionally used, and according to Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, we are therefore not allowed to inform about these health benefits. More information can be found in the herbarium.
