Regeneration salt is pure evaporated salt that has crystallized, without any anti-caking agents, synthetic dyes or other additives.

An ion exchanger is permanently installed in every dishwasher, which captures water hardness ions, calcium and magnesium and directs soft water into the dishwasher. This prevents limescale from forming on glasses and cutlery. If the ion exchanger is saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, it is necessary to restore the absorption capacity by regeneration. This is done using regeneration salt, which exchanges the hardness ions and thus ensures optimal washing results.

Dosing:As soon as the salt indicator lights up in the dishwasher, fill the supplied salt container with regeneration salt according to the machine manufacturer's instructions for use. Experience has shown that some machines show that they need salt very late. To prevent this, the regeneration salt should be refilled regularly, even if the display has not yet responded. If the salt container has been completely empty, you should wait about 2 hours after refilling before starting the machine again so that the ion exchanger has enough time to regenerate. Set the water softening system in the dishwasher to a hardness range of 8°-10°dH/ 15°-18°fH higher than the actual water hardness. Please read the instructions for use of your dishwasher on how to do this. The regeneration salt and rinse aid chambers should always be full.
