Sprouting jar 700ml
Product detailed description
A sprouting jar is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prepare delicious and nutritious sprouts at home in a few days.
The Healthy Day® sprouting jar is made of safe glass. It has a special screw cap with a stainless steel mesh, a metal stand for placing the jar upside down, and a ceramic base to catch excess water that drips from the jar after washing the seeds. The strainer on the jar lid ensures sufficient air supply to the plants.
The materials used and the rounded shape of the jar with a large neck allow it to be easily washed. Thanks to its elegant design, the Healthy Day sprouting jar will be a useful and tasteful addition to any kitchen.
What can be sprouted?
Any vegetable, legume, cereal or herb seeds, except for watercress and arugula seeds. The seeds must be whole, undamaged and unpeeled. Use seeds for germination in BIO quality.
Seed germination instructions
First day: place the seeds in a jar, screw on the lid, pour enough water to at least ¾ of the container and let them soak for the time indicated on the seed package. After soaking the seeds, rinse them thoroughly with water, turn the jar upside down and shake several times to drain all the water. Place the jar on a metal stand with the lid down. This will allow excess water to drip onto the ceramic bowl of the base. The jar should be placed on a flat surface in a place with room temperature of approximately 20°C, away from direct light and heat sources.
Further days: the seeds need to be washed regularly to soak them and germinate quickly. It is not necessary to remove the lid from the jar to water the seeds. Fill the glass with water through a strainer and pour out the water after 1-2 minutes. Then place the glass back on the ceramic base. Repeat the seed washing process at least twice a day (morning and evening) and whenever the seeds in the bottle seem to be drying out, until you harvest the finished sprouts. As on the first day, always shake the glass carefully when washing.
Harvesting: The growth rate of the sprouts depends on the specific properties of the sprouted seed and the ambient temperature. Remove the sprouts from the glass and either consume them immediately, or you can store them in the refrigerator, where their growth will slow down significantly. Rinse the seeds with water before consuming them.
Using sprouted sprouts
The finished sprouts can be added to salads - vegetable, leaf, pasta or legume. Use them to decorate baked goods or ready-made dishes, add them to vegetable drinks, dressings, sauces and soups, or eat them on their own.
