Product detailed description
Stemona japonica – BAI BU – is an annual climbing plant, native to East
and Southeast Asia and the border region of northern Australasia. The leaves are simple, of various sizes, sessile or connected to the basal stem by a short petiole. The flower is oblong, pinkish-purple and consists of several long petals and sepals. Today it is cultivated for sale in China, India, Taiwan and probably in other countries of this region.
A thick tuberous root is used, which is very dense and can sometimes grow surprisingly deep into the ground. Stemona has a bittersweet taste and warm properties.
External use: Stemona decoction is very beneficial to choose if it is confirmed by a doctor that the infection/inflammation of the skin is caused by a mycotic (fungal) attack or parasites, especially in intimate areas. Stemona decoction is then excellent for rinsing or washing.
