Omega-3 from a super clean source - krill living in the ocean around Antarctica, where the cleanest seawater in the world. Omega-3s are obtained by the Ecoharvest method, which minimizes unwanted catch, where other marine animals are also caught (this is common in fishing, which is the most common source of omega-3 products). The krill used for the production of Omega-3 Puhdistamo lives in the seas far from refineries and large shipping traffic, therefore the resulting product maintains a high purity. In addition, omega-3s are in a natural phospholipid form, which is natural for the body and therefore highly usable (can be compared to eating whole fish).
The properties of omega-3 fatty acids are related to overall physical and mental condition, their correct ratio in the diet is the basis for the proper functioning of the organism. Omega-3 and omega-6 should be consumed in a maximum ratio of 1:5, a ratio of 1:2 is ideal. Unfortunately, the real ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 consumption is about 1:15, which is a very risky value. (Too much bread, pasta, sausages, fats, industrially processed foods in general).
In addition to omega-3 fatty acids themselves, they also contain phosphatidylcholine (the active form of choline) and choline, which is among the B vitamins and whose properties are related to cognitive functions, as well as astaxanthin, an important antioxidant that also acts as a natural dye – hence the red color of the capsules.
